Orange River Cellars, founded on December 23, 1965, in Upington, has grown to become a leading wine producer in South Africa. Located in the Green Kalahari, the winery works with 580 experienced grape growers in this fertile region. The Green Kalahari is known for its unspoiled nature and high-quality grapes. In 2024, Orange River Cellars centralised wine production in the Upington Cellar. Grapes from surrounding cellars such as Keimoes, Kakamas, Groblershoop, and Grootdrink are brought here. Thanks to this centralisation, the winery improves efficiency and guarantees consistent quality, in line with their long-standing commitment to craftsmanship and excellence.
